The staff is very friendly and helpful! And the bakery items are out of this world! The doughnuts are light and fluffy and taste amazing!
We arrived an hour before closing and they were out of chocolate covered custard bismarcks and the very nice lady said, “I can make you some. How many do you want?” They are fantastic! There was custard in every bite.
It may be the nostalgia, growing up in this town for 15 years. But even with my advanced traveling. Still one of the greatest bakeries. Hands down #1, great tasting, lots of everything including there own originals you cant find anywhere else. That and you jist cant beat the price when you walk in and it smells like heaven :)

Hands down, this is the best bakery in the area! If you're on your way through town, I promise you it's worth the small detour down main street. We've been customers since we were in diapers as kids and will continue to be customers until we grow old and we're back in diapers (haha). We HIGHLY RECCOMEND you make the trip to St. Charles and get yourself their world famous Long Johns! You will not be disappointed!
Top tier donuts! I like to find local, fresh made donut shops when traveling and on our yearly trip to Montana I stumbled on this shop via Google maps as it was along our route one morning. I'm so glad we did as it has some of the best donuts I have had anywhere. My go-to donuts are chocolate iced cream filled donuts, and theirs are fantastic. Theirs are Bismarck's cut in half and filled with cream, this allows for better cream distribution avoiding bites with no cream and others with too much cream. Speaking of the cream it's about the closest to perfect balance of sweatiness as I have had, not overly sugary. The raised donut itself is light and airy with slight bits of crispiness, speaking to its freshness. Definitely will be stopping by again when traveling through.

Yum!! The donuts here are so worth a visit! Very friendly bakery staff here and while the place isn’t anything fancy, the point is how delicious are the baked goods and they do NOT disappoint. The filled Bismarck donuts are super yummy, and they were even willing to make some extras on the spot out of the various fillings they had in store. The chocolate cake donuts were great too.
This bakery does not look fancy but their donuts are to die for. I wish I'd eaten one right then, so I could have bought more. They are light and airy and flavorful. The custard was perfect consistency. I was supposed to share with my boyfriend but I really didn't want to, and he didn't want to give up the jelly-filled either. They have a gift! Don't miss out...
